Today the whole Peter-walking-on-water story has become real to me, and I see it in a whole new perspective while sitting outside the operating theatre waiting for mum.
It came in a small voice 'If you heard Jesus calling you to walk on water with Him today, would you?'
Then Mari came up to me with an awesome assurance. She said 'Yes you will get wet, but I'm pretty sure if its Jesus you're walking with, you will not sink.'
So I gave a little more thought to it, and realize the significance of taking the first step out into the water. We must not measure the depth of the water for ourselves, not being concerned about unnecessary things that we have no control over. But to take that step into the water, and to see and experience Jesus carrying us through. If the waters not to deep for you, He will be leading you. but when the water seems or gets to deep, He will carry you through, He will not let you sink. And again that boils down to believe that He, who is your maker, loves you enough for you to entrust your life into His hands.
Takes seeing to believe in full. Once you have walked on water with Him, you will see his grace, mercy, love and power in full too. Will you then believe in full?
This is so beautiful.
